The specs
Whats up with those specs to run the game?

11 Year old GPU and 11 Year old CPU are supposed to be the minimum requirement? And the same, only 10 years old, for the recomended/best performance specs? How is this going to work out.

The game looks about as next-gen as you can imagine it, 20x better graphics than DayZ if the staged screenshots are anything to go off, but yeah. The game is much better looking than games that have a hard time running on those exact specs.

Surely this cant be true unless the Devs have found a way to program some sort of quantum universe engine that bends physics and space time.

You are an interesting one.

I can see APUs running this fairly smoothly @ 1080 high.

I run a gigabyte RX 5600 XT (6GB), 1080P high settings, capped FPS at 60. I only use the most 60% of the memory in insane situations within OH. The rest is a Ryzen 3600, 16GB mem, single SSD.

This makes the low specs they post very plausible.

I still run a GTX1080 with i7-5820k at 4.4Ghz and 32GB RAM.
On high settings at 1080p the game kept stuttering for me and dropping Frames hard while memory and CPU were at over 90% usage at all times.

I'm due to buy a new PC but I have my reservations on the recommended settings. Unlike minimum settings recommended should reflect running the game without problems throughout, and given they listed a GTX 970 which is way below my GTX1080 it would imply I should be able to run the game on max settings but I can't run it on lower settings.

I try again after a few more updates but I wouldn't be surprised if recommended settings get updated to 3060 over time.
