It says you can play by yourself or with others, but will it be always online, almost like an MMO, or will you be able to play by yourself, or host a simple server for you and your friends?
I had the same impression yesterday when I played. The Division had a baby with Generic Survival Horror game #346. Was alright, if a bit laggy.
Thanks- I actually just looked up if anyone had posted some beta footage and sure enough, they're out there now. If anyone's curious like I was, you can look up vids on Youtube.
One of the first vids that popped up on Google search:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=1lDwZYmsZnQ
I wasn't patient enough to skip/watch through the vid quickly so I watched maybe 2 min total. As for the game details, I guess we'll have to wait for actual details to arrive when it gets closer to release on ... Q4 2023. It's also releasing on Mobile.
I'm not sure how I feel about what I saw, whether I should be hyped or the opposite, It's still got some time til release though so I'll reserve my own quips.
They sell you on a concept, the actual game is actually launched EA or very bare bones.
Then the game will die out shortly after as the "meta" as in all multiplayer survival games will be to camp out at ambush points to kill players instead of scavenge for loot.
After all, why work for it when you can wait for someone else can do it for you?
I mainly ran with sniper and pistol, they both felt good, especially the sniper rifle. Had good impact and snap to it. Motorcycles were available and felt fine, but Im curious to see if they have the mulitplayer vehicles up next time. Theres some lag in the pvp thunderdome resource war stuff, but most things were not bad otherwise. Already implemented lots of customization for character, building, weapon loadout, gear, and had plans for more.
It def needs polish, but overall playing on the pve server with another person, we were able to do a lot and test a bunch of things out. It felt solid honestly.
And i hope when they release this game, player can choose if they want play only pve or pvp.
This i am also interested in. I don't care for PVP too much unless you're in a clan or something.
