Any type of censorship = no buy. (Or even try out) I don't have to even plan on playing as a loli or shota character to not encourage censorship. I can plan on playing as a tall character and still say no to censorship and refuse to support Amazon's censorship garbage. I don't know how I can make this clearer.
The NA version of this game was dead as soon as Amazon got their slimy, greasy and filthy groomer mits on it.
Pass
BP was truly unlucky, as much as I want to blame 'localization' for this mess, this is the accumulation of many bad decisions.
They have to get a large and steady playerbase, they have to compete with many successful MMOs, they have to undo the censorship to avoid backlash, all just to crawl out of the money hole Bandai is in. I hate doomposting, but it is very unlikely that they can untangle these knots in time.
Cause Japan's Income is less than the sum from the rest of the world. They could self publish a Global server and have a lot of player from the rest of the world playing and buying cosmetics and giving feedback. But they choose to self sabotage with a poopy publisher.
yeah it's doing horribly in Japan, all because the monetization sucks, gacha is strict and expensive but to add insult to injury, the buyable things don't even look particularly good
it's no wonder people aren't throwing money at it
Though to be fair.
Anyone with half a mind would've seen this coming.
Gundam Evolution held the exact same monetisation model and it suffered the ultimate price as expected.
The leadership team in that subsidiary is beyond brain-rotted. Bamco needs to axe them completely.
Lesson of the day: stick to publishing bozo, you clearly can't create games for the life of you.
MMOs in general have a bad past the last decade and probably a real hard future with all the money grabbing mentallity. I mean games arent made for gamers anymore, they are made to make money, that used to be different. We stitll have the indie sector that is delivering beautiful games so lets hope for the best there.
AAA & AAAA is dead to me for a long time now, they just make copies of copies instead of risking anything with new ideas. I blame management for it because those arent people that ever played a game and they shouldnt be in this business in the first place
