Cute game, very satisfying gameplay loop that I love about Atelier games. It's a bit bare-bones compared to the newer titles, but for fans of the series this is a lovely piece of history in a revamped coat with added scenarios that flesh out the characters a bit more which is always a plus. Deluxe also comes with the first ever official translation of the game in its original form. Very nice to experience. Lot harder than the remake, for sure. I started the classic before going for the remake and once I played through the remake and understood the game more, did a run in classic again. Very fun.

So yeah, while the game isn't as long as the other titles, there's some replay value and in unlimited mode you can take your time maxing all friendships etc. too. And yes, unlimited mode does let you save a clear file to start a new game from with all the perks.

Regardless of me thinking this game is worth playing, I'd defo wait for a sale and not buy this at full price. That's what I did and I feel satisfied for what I paid for it.
