This guide contains the most common fixes for graphical glitches and crash issues and will o help rule out if this white screen issue was caused by hardware, software, corrupted file, Windows settings and out-of-date drivers, could you please follow every step in this guide we have listed to try and resolve this issue? > https://www.ubisoft.com/help?article=000061047
Should none of the steps work for you, please let us know as there may be other steps we can advise as well that could help with this issue.

White screens are not normal behaviour when performing an action in-game and if you have been editing your config file, instead of verifying the game files which will always replace your config file with a default one and any other missing files, I would advise doing a fresh reinstall of the game altogether.
As the game is one of our older titles, I would also try running the game in compatibility mode for an older Windows OS the game was released for and disable full-screen optimizations as shown in this guide >

Direct 3D errors are errors with older versions of supporting software the game uses to run in connection with your GPU. Steam has their own troubleshooting guide for this here should you need it > https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/102E-D170-B891-7145

trying all of the launch options did nothing either. Could Windows 11 or 2560x1440 resolution be one of the problems?
Sorry to hear compatibility mode did not help resolve the issue either.
I would next recommend trying to change your resolution settings to 1080p in the menu using your Windows 11, non-compatability mode as you did previously - in the game settings, please try first a 60FPS 1080p setting, then a 59FPS 180P setting due to the game not having Vsync, then testing both of these settings to see if the issues will go away.
If after exhausting this step and all the other troubleshooting steps, I would like to ask you to send us some of your system files, so we can look for possible things that may be causing this issue and investigate this further for you.
You can find instructions on how to create the system files we need, below >
Creating a Dxdiag file > https://ubi.li/msrxL
Creating an Msinfo file > https://ubi.li/lmiCE
Please send us these files using our Ubisoft Support Help website link, this will create a private support case for you, where we will keep in contact with you via email >> https://www.ubisoft.com/help/contact
