Can't Save Game
I bought the game yesterday and played for about an hour. The game is great, but there doesn't seem to be any way for me to save the game. I lost all of my progress. The autosave isn't working, and I can't do a manual save because the button is grayed out. I'm reinstalling now and hoping that works. Has anyone else had this problem?

find the actual game exe location (from the steam app: right click the game>manage>browse local files-should bring up the folder the game is installed in. From there right click the game on the list>properties>compatibility> make sure the run as administrator box is marked. if using win10, you may need to allow the game access past your ransomware protection.

Hey Dharma, I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling to save your game in The Stick of Truth.

Can you please try our basic PC troubleshooting steps[support.ubi.com] in the first instance, to rule out any common issues (such as file corruption or outdated drivers) that may be affecting your ability to save your game?

You've also mentioned your Windows name is in Greek - by this, do you mean Greek lettering / font? If so, have you tested the game on another Windows profile with non-Greek lettering / font out of interest? I'd recommend doing so if not, to allow us to investigate if this is truly a factor. Here[support.microsoft.com]'s a Microsoft FAQ on how to create a new administrative user on Windows 10, in case you're unsure how to do it.

I just tested the game on my work PC, which doesn't have greek letters in its username, and the save/load function works properly. I've already followed the steps laid out on the troubleshooting page, but still save/load is grayed out.

First of all, thanks for helping me out.

You need a screenshot of what? Not sure what you are asking.

Just to clarify about the name issue: my user on windows is in Latin characters, my Microsoft account associated with my user is in Greek letters. I can provide it if necessary.

My apologies if I was unclear - I meant could you provide me with screenshots from each system showing that the save/load functions are greyed out when using Greek lettering, and are accessible on a system where such lettering isn't used?

This clarification does raise one more question from me - by this do you mean the account you've signed into when registering your user account uses the Greek lettering, but the actual display / username you chose for the profile is in Latin characters?

Hello there, if your game is not saving, this may indicate an issue with the file directory or the game's read / write permissions.

Could you please try verifying the game files within Steam, and also test running both Steam and the game .exe with administrator rights[support.ubi.com]? I'd also check that the .exe for the game is not restricted by any firewalls or protocols on your system.

I'll move this thread into our Player Support section in case this issue remains unresolved at this time, and you still need further assistance. I hope you don't mind!

I mean that the microsoft username, the one I get when I type my password when opening my pc, is my greek name, in greek characters. But my user username, that being the user on my pc that I use, is in in latin characters. I will provide the screenshots shortly.

Well it’s on console not steam.

And it does save at auto save points like after a cutscene plays or when I use Timmy’s fast travel system.

It just won’t save manually.

Thanks for this image - I can clearly see the options are greyed out there. This may require further investigation and for me to forward this information to our dedicated South Park team for review, so at this stage I would like to ask again if you would mind creating a support case[support.ubi.com] on our website with images of the issue at hand attached.

It would be helpful to have the names you use on your respective work / home profiles included in your description, so that I can investigate if special lettering / characters could impact your ability to save or for the game to access / write to the normal directory.

Do you ever find that, after playing further into the game, you are able to save later? Or is the option permanently greyed out?

I can't save the game
I played on pc in steam. 1st is sound problem, I have tried to solve but nothing \happpend and i just ignored it and played. then i have play for 1 hour and i tried to save it was said "file was not found". pls help me
ps. the game doesn't link to uplay and i have tried to verify the game file.

Hi, Sorry to hear it, if you're still not able to save the game please try launching the game on a {連結已移除} if you are able to save whilst on the clean boot then that would suggest that there is a software conflict.

i cant save game auto save not work
I played till space chapter and i want to exit game but i cant save and auto save not work
and i lose what i played at all. i come back to play but it only have new game what??!???
