Trouble with Nonconformist quest.

I am wearing all 3 goth clothes pieces but the goth kids just keep telling me to go back to the bum and buy the clothes. What am I doing wrong here?

Buy the clothes and put them on. Got to Tweek's coffee and buy some coffee and go to outside Jimbo's shop and get some cigarettes. Don't forget to check your map if you get lost for future quests.

I have the coffee and I got the cigarettes earlier but the cigarettes are not showing in my inventory. They should show in inventory right? I can't find them on any buyback merchant and the smoking kids by Jimbo's shop are gone. Am I completely screwed or do I have any options?

They wouldn't be in your inventory. They would be under quest items in Collectibles.

Also, try wearing the Goth Wig and the Eyeliner, just to be certain.

Apparently you are good luck because it finally worked and I didn't change anything! LOL The game is glitching hardcore though.....sound going in and out and graphics messing up royally. Is that normal for this quest?

I didn't have any troubles with it. In fact, I wasn't really going for the achievements until after my first run. I enjoyed the hell out of this game, but I would've never paid full price for it. I'm glad things worked out =).

You could try using a program called Raptr. It's very helpful on your games and computer. It will optimize all your games, so if you switch monitors a lot, it will do it automatically for you at the click of your mouse. All games. If you have any more trouble, I will be more than happy to help =).
