Good game, terrible console port
Though I loved the game, PC users should be aware that this is a virtually unmodified console port and it has a few issues and annoyances on the PC as a result.

For example, I play on a MacBook Pro at 2880 x 1800 resolution. The regular in-game graphics look superb and sharp, but pre-rendered cut-scenes (of which there are many) are only 720p resolution or less than a quarter of the pixels of 1800p. This makes the cut-scenes notably fuzzy and blurry compared to the rendered game. Steam should really clamp down on console ports that are limited and crippled in this way. The least they could've done is pre-render cut scenes at 1080p. It's not like previous-gen consoles aren't capable of downscaling resolution on the fly.

The second major annoyance or bug relates to character movement, which is unbearably slow! Perhaps this is related to my super high resolution, but the character takes an eternity to walk accross the screen. The only way to play the game reasonably is to hold shift down to run for the entire game! There isn't even an option to use caps-lock or enable run by default, which the game desperately needs. Also forget about any form of mouse input!

Thirdly, as has been widely discussed, there's no option to remap any of the keys.

These issues detract from what is otherwise a very funny and enjoyable game. Just be aware that this is a made for last gen consoles game with the PC port being more or less an afterthought without much in the way of love for PC users.

If these issues were addressed and the pre-rendered scenes upgraded I'd rate it an 8.5, but as it stands it's probably only a 7.

You forgot to mention that it's capped at 30 FPS, which is always insulting to PC gamers. While it's not that noticeable in this particular title due to the cheap animation of the show; it's terrible in every other game that does it. But still, 101 for a game developer should be that computer games run at 60 FPS. Games locked at 30 shouldn't even be ported to us, let alone allowed on Steam. Just like Nintendo and Sega back in the day; Steam has ZERO quality control or standards now. There are even games on Steam now that have no volume slider bars, basically flash browser games being sold on Steam. That's how low PC gaming has sunk. Games from the 90s had volume sliders.

Couldn't agree more Drain!

While this game can get away with 30 fps it still looked better at 60 when I tried to hack it to run that way. The battles in particular looked way better at 60 fps; much more fluid.

Yes it's sad that Steam isn't defending PC users. Do they want us to jump ship to consoles because if they want us to stay buying games on their platform they have a funny way of showing it. In the end their lack of standards and quality control only pushes me away because I don't trust the quality and length of PC games much any more, especially ones that are released on consoles.

Without a change of direction I'll probably end up looking elsewhere or even to other forms of entertainment. Right now I'm trying to find a game worth buying but the store is littered with unfinished "Early Access" games that are scams most of the time. The value proposition of PC games has rally sunk so low.

Yeah, I also hate it when games don't have a master volume slider. It's only worse if they do have one, but the non-skippable (of course) intro videos run at full volume. Heart attack in the making. Thankfully this one has.

It's a sad state of affairs.
mouse cursor stays visible as well. and if you alt-tab the cursor changes to your windows cursor.

edit - found a fix for this here:

Oh gosh, don't get me started on unskippable intro logos and branding of which this game suffers!
I expected to be able to get 90 FPS on a game that looks like this, and it's capped at 30? the ♥♥♥♥?

How to change fps limit
You can experiment changing the FPS by loading the user.ini data file that's in the south park folder in your documents folder.
I never quite fully understood why people complain about 30FPS. I feel like the only one okay with 15FPS xD
The PC Gaming Wiki explains how to remove the 30fps lock,

Open user.ini found in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\South Park - The Stick of Truth\
Set vsync to 0.

However! Doing so made the game unplayable for me, you have to activate Vsync in your graphics drivers for the .exe that starts the game. It looks super smooth now and runs perfectly.

Use your brain, it'll help you fully understand.
People complaining about capped 30 fps on a turn based RPG? Really? :cfacepalm:

Not only that, but it only takes a few minutes to remove the 30 FPS cap... There's probably 10 guides on how to do that under game guides.
Have you tried it? Not overly necessary but nice to have, definitely makes a difference.
