Jew class abilities

I'm having difficulty doing the 1st special ability without doing damage to myself. The game says to mash the A and D buttons then left click. I'm using a keyboard as opposed to a controller. The in game tutorial gives no indication as to when you mash the buttons or left click the mouse.

Use a controler; the games a lot more fun with one.

When your character starts swinging the sling, mash A and D, like this: ADADADADADAD, that is not together and not randomly. After a couple of seconds you'll hear a chime, then left click. It was quite easy to do for me using the keyboard, though I didn't get it the first few tries.

As Yondar said, you only have to press A+D continuously until you hear a chime and see an sparking in the sling. Then you click the button to drop it.
