Vsync/Screen tearing
I am getting a lot of screen tearing, but don't see any Vsync options. Is there anything to do?

turn on vsync with nvidia control panel or amd equivalent.

I had the same problem. If you are using an nvidia card just go into the nvidia control panel and force vsync on for this particular game. Worked for me. Not exactly sure if you're using an ATI card but i'm sure the catalyst drivers will have something similar.
Vsync should never be on, as it can render games unplayable. You can force your graphics card driver in its config settings to always have vsnc off. It will save you loads of problems later on.

I have Vsync on for every game that has it, and it has never even remotely affected gameplay. Quit talking out your backside.

Also, OP, if for some reason the Vsync in game isn't working, and you have an ATI card, get RadeonPro. That will do what Catalyst Control Centre fails to do.

Saying that, the game is locked to 30fps anyway. Have you selected the correct refresh rate (hz) for the resolution setting?

That is the worst advice. Vsync locks your framerate to your monitor's refresh rate, eliminating tearing and making sure your GPU isn't rendering a billion frames per second on undemanding games, so having it on is good, unless you really like overheating. Also, how does vsync 'render games unplayable' exactly? Could you explain that in detail?

I suppose it's a matter of opinion and personal preference. But for me, personally, using vsync makes all my games, new and old unplayable and slow. I just always have it off. I fail to see how my advice "is the worst". I don't recall stating that I was right, and that my advice mattered. It's just an opinion, not fact. Research vsync on the internet and you will find quite a division. Some people like it and use it, and some people do not. Like I stated earlier, it all comes down to personal preference, and I choose to not use it.

I'll give you a moment to let the irony sink it.

Turning the game "windowed" fixes this. You can use a 3rd party program like BG to make it windowless.

If my reply is toxic, then yours is outright vitriolic.

Not everyone likes, or uses vsync.

Not like this game needs, or should use vsyn. It runs at 30FPS anyways. Just like the show! GASP!

But lying about what v-sync does is taking things to a whole new level. Saying it can 'render games unplayable' is an outright lie.

Umm, I wasn't the one who made the inital statement abotu vsync.:rfacepalm:

What was your case? We already know that the SP game doesn't need vsync as the game runs at 30FPS already. If it ran any higher than that, it would have ruined the aesthetic of the game as the show easily runs at around the same framerate.

All I'm saying is that the game itself doesn't benefit from vsync because it doesn't need it. And from a technical standpoint, it doesn't need it as it's not very flashy, or system intensive.

Come again? You're the first person in the thread to say anything of the sort.

Maybe instead of cherry picking statements to support your opinion, look later on and I went on to say that using vsync was a matter of opinion. Some people like it, some do not.
I'm just one of those people who doesn't like, or use it.
