F-Secure Deepguard blocking the game, refusing to allow (error 51)

Yeah, so I just struggled a good while to get the game booted up and realised something, so I'll just write it here;

It seems F-Secure Internet Security (2013)'s deepguard has trouble dealing with the stick of truth exe, even if you clearly allow it in the settings.


Tried to start the game today and f-secure immediately blocked it and steam gave me an "unknown error" accordingly... (Weird, as this didn't happen yesterday when I booted the game)
So obviously, I went ahead and allowed the game from the settings.

Try to boot again; The game fails to start with an error code 51

I double-checked that the game was infact allowed from F-secure and then started to look for the problem elsewhere, checking the integrity of steam files and whatnot...

Eventually I deleted the game from the deepguard list and tried to boot it .... Noticed steam, just for a while tried to boot it until deepguard blocked it. Allowing it again resulted in "Error 51" so I decided to try turning deepguard completely off from F-secure and the game booted immediately, with no problems.

And again just to double-check, I put the deepguard back on and the game won't start no matter how much I try allowing it.

Just a heads up, if someone has trouble with the same thing :)

my f-secure blocked my game because it found malware in the files so i ran a scan and it removed the virus. then i went back on steam and it said i was missing game files. so what i have found is that the game has malware in the newest updates and f-secure is stopping me from playing the game because it has a virus in it. i had not had this problem before until i updated the game on this day just like you. so that is why you had to turn your things completely off to play the game because f-secure is doing what it is suppose to
