To everyone having trouble with the farts

It's not very well explained but here is how you do the farts (I use a keyboard and mouse so that is how i will explain)

1) Hold down the left mouse button, this will bring up the "fart frequency" meter

2) You DO NOT need to alternate hitting A and D just hold one or the other until you see the meter spike.

3) Hold down both A and D at the same time when the meter is spiked and it will remain that way until the game tells you to press the right mouse button to release the fart.

ETC...) If you look closely a small blueish arrow goes around the outside of the fart frequency meter this is essentially your tuning dial and will cause the meter to spike at one spot only; this is where you hold A and D together to keep it in place.

Ye, the tutorial sucked. You just need to watch the arrow around the circle + scan for high frequency, doesnt matter how you use A+D to find it, then just click left click untill it farts when you find high freq.

Does this work with Dragonshout or Cup a Spell?

Pressing A+D doesn't even seem to do anything at all during combat, and I don't see a fart meter appear.

It just tells you to wait till you see "the gas"...

It's only when you learn the spell, you don't need to do it afterwards.

Press and hold the left mouse button until the final right click prompt. You do NOT need to hold A & D together to make the arrow stay put. Just use either A (makes the arrow move counterclockwise around the circle) or D (makes the arrow move clockwise around the circle) until you see the meter spike (depending on the fart you're learning it will do so at one of the 4 cardinal points) and release the button once you're there. Then it's just a matter of waiting a few seconds for the right click prompt.
