Gas mask bug

In the main quest to recruit Token (Gate Crasher?), I can't get the gas mask. The guard pepper sprays me, but I don't get the message from Cartman, and Jimbo doesn't keep the gas mask in stock. I can't complete the quest without the gas mask, so unless there's a way to fix it, this is game breaking. Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe it doesn't appear because you have to do something else first (like leveling for this quest because you're too weak now). I went after Squeak first. After he joined us, I went after Token (gas mask was there, boss fight went very well). Craig's last.

Maybe you should try it in this order?

I've done pretty much what else there is to do ATM. That's what sucks, since I've spent five hours doing side quests and stuff. I don't want to give up all that progress. I'm on level five, I think.

try checking the Buyback tab at jimbo, thats where i found mine after selling it(cause i bought it just to chck it in collectibles), try that:)

Nah, it wasn't there. I checked the other vendors as well, but they seem to be connected for buybacks. I gave up and started over. It worked fine this time, at least.
