SPOLIERS How to get up the ladder on Clyde's Fort?

I just faught the three Nazi Cows and the five Clydes. There is a ladder that looks like it should drop down in the middle of the room.

If its possible to not tell me directly. Could I just have a hint?

I already let cartman kenny and ike in. But they just stand there. I've exhausted every possibilty I can think of but can't get it to drop down...any help?

oh that part, yeah stan will put a lamp in through the window, and you have to first shoot the lamp with your ranged weapon to break it, and then throw a fart at it to blow out the wall.

ohhhh stupid me, i didn't pay attention to the detail of breaking open the lamp. I kept throwing farts up there, but was wondering why nothing was exploding.

I can't even get to that part, I beat clyde and the cows and my screen sits black saying its loading. I can still get to the menu and use my farts and throwable wepons but the screen stays black.
