Using a gamepad on a PC

Can you only use a keyboard and mouse on the PC version, or is there a way to use a gamepad using the keyboard suuuux.

Hmm I did try using my gamepad but it's not doing anything I'm using a budget Geoteck one but I've never had a prob with it on any other game just been using it on Assassins Creed 4 no issues.... :s

You can use a game pad; just plug and play. HOWEVER, some game pads are bugged. It seems that only the xbox360 one works as intended. With mine, for example, I have to use the D-Pad to move which is fine until your either learning magic (D-Pad's arent precise enough to find the frequency) or in battle (selecting moves on the diagonal can be a pain). half the time the instructions it gives you for which button does what is wrong aswell. I'm using the logitech F710, the one promoted by Steam Big Picture.

Just google for x360ce (xbox 360 controler emulator).It lets you play every game with any gamepad. ;)

I've been able to swap back and forth no problem, even mid game. I'm currently emulating a 360 pad with my PS3 controller, works great.

I had that problem as well, it's not recognizing my keyboard/mouse now that I've been playing with the gamepad.

I use X360ce and copied the X360.exe, ini and dll to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\South Park - The Stick of Truth
That worked for me, hope it helps ^^

theres also Joy2Key, it completly overrides the need for it to be an Xbox controller, and tehn you can setup unused buttons for other stuff. esentially it turns your controller into a keyboard with only specific keys. doesnt work for everything but it is an alternative.
