Two-Handed or One-Handed weapons

Hi so i got this game as a gift and i found armor that increases affects of two handed weapons. I cant tell the difference between one handed and two handed please help.

I'd also like to know this. Is it listed in the menu somewhere that I'm not seeing?

The only way to tell is to equip it and look at how your character holds it.

I wish they actually had some sort of impact on the gameplay or builds. I played for five hours thinking my thief was better off using one-handed weapons. So I kept on passing over loads of spiffy 2hw. Eventually I learned the only reason to choose one over the other was for slots/certain armor and patch abilities.

that's not exactly right, some armor provides bonuses with 2 handed weapons are equipped.

Yeah, I spent half the game thinking that thief can only use 1-H weapons. You can Backstab just fine even if 2-H is equipped so Katana FTW.

That's another gripe. The end-game weapon for any class is that katana. There a one or two that people say barely beats it. However, at that point in the game pure strike damage does not even matter.

So.... only bows are two handed? In the equip screen EVERY melee weapon is held in one hand so this is extremely deceptive. 75% of weapons are one handed going by how my character holds the weapon on the equip screen.
