Stuck on Goth Quest.

I'm at the part where I need to dance for the goth kids. I start the mini-game which mimicks DDR, except I can't for the life of me figure out the controls, or how to beat the mini-game. Please help.

Same here. Tried hundreds of times, and still no good. Is this part bugged?

Glad I'm not the only one, I felt like an idiot trying to figure it out. I've mashed every button I could think of and still can't get it.

DUDE there is no special way to beat it its just like guitar hero... i looked up walkthroughs and the black symbols are him stomping hios foot, the coffe he drinks, the cigt he takes a pufff- doesnt matter if you nail it exactly right though my guy wont move during the sequence even though my timing is perfect. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug

It must be bugged for you guys. I just hit the arrow keys whenever they came up to the top of the screen and it worked fine.

It's confusing how it just randomly switches to arrow keys.

Yes the controls aren't ideal for the PC version, but this quest is easily done ignoring onscreen feedback and instead just hitting the correct arrow keys as the icons pass through. I'm far more upset about Stan's unstoppable leaf blower attack even with me mashing my S key for 10+ minutes straight all the while the attack doing minimal damage if I ignore key prompts.

I restarted the game and it seems you are supposed to not conform to the arrow keys XD
Try doing the opposite of what it says?

Mines not even coming up with anything, my guys there just smoking to the music
