Scott Tennerman I would reccomend!
I can't believe anyone anywhere complains about the animation in SOUTH PARK. It makes me facepalm. Terence and Philip is a mockery of what critics were actually saying South Park was. It's not like the modern episodes are so ridiculously good either. The poor quality, among other things, was what was funny. :p
Definitely watch the movie, it's fantastic. The funny part is they were predicting how their own movie was going to be received by critics and set the plot around a controversy over the release of the (Terence & Phillip) movie and on into... traditionally absurd results in the style that the show favors. No spoilers. Also a kicka** soundtrack, musical style. Blame Canada!
And it's up for streaming on Netflix if you have that.
I'm not sure if this was aimed at me (Since I mentioned that he should maybe skip them at first) But just in case: I love the first 4 seasons, including and especially the movie which came out in that time. It's simply that I think given the shift in Season 5, and the fact that the show's been following the new style ever since, it would be a better introduction to what most of the series is at this point, and what it will be in the future and the game. But yeah, I do recommend watching the first four seasons too!
(Also, I was kind of hoping for: "If you don't like the first four episodes. You can giiiiiiit out.")

Yes. One is about how Kyle's mom is a b****, one is about parents blaming Canada for the reasons their kids are messed up before someone blames the kids' parents, one is about how awesome Brian Boitano is... and Satan has a soul-full song about how unhappy he is being evil and living in Hell.
How is any of that a negative? :)
Its a good start.
I guess that's just how it goes, though, when you've got such a long-running series, spanning multiple generations.
dude watch and I promise you'll enjoy it if you let go your preconceptions.
