And this is what I dont get. I dont like FPS, but you dont see going on their boards and telling em that.
If you dislike it, thats your thing. So explain to me, why are you here, if you`re not going to buy it, if you activly dislike the genre its in.
Yea right, you`re trolling or incredibly bored (or both)
This is your second post I've seen from you that looks like this. No one wants to read a wall of text, you don't need to keep it short, but for the love of all that is good and holy, learn what a paragraph is!
I just like the implication that anyone who has different tastes to you must be an inexperienced gamer.
That said, this game looks like they're actually trying to do something new with the turn-based system so it may be a breath of fresh air for the genre. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
What grinds my gears is kids and teens who didn't grow up in the 90s (just cuz you were born in the 90s doesn't make you a 90s kid) who disrespect good games because they either A) aren't 3D graphics B) aren't shooters C) are 32 bits or less (my one friend pisses me off cuz he won't even give earthbound a chance) D) aren't on xbone or ps4 or E) don't use current gen features like quick time events or liscensed soundtracks.
What I'm getting at is don't talk ♥♥♥♥ about a game untill AFTER it's come out and you've seen how it plays. Look at some past incidents....people were HYPED for War Z and look where that ended up. on the other hand when Kingdom Hearts was first announced for ps2 people were like "they're combining disney and final fantasy? This will be aweful!" and it's now one of the best games of all time.
But to each his own.
I was born in '91 and I played plenty of 2D games with bad graphics that weren't shooters that had less than 32bits... just because your nostalgic doesn't mean your old favorite games are the best freakin games ever and every new game should be made that way. More people play games now than ever because games are more fun than ever. They have better ways of telling stories.. they have better ways of letting you feel like you're part of the story. Games from our past were fun, but get real... games are only getting better. And any "difficulty" you associate with older games were not because games were designed to be difficult, but because game developers were limited and had to do stupid things to make their games work... there was a lot of trial and error crap in our older games that made them less fun. Sure they were more rewarding, but a majority of people don't want to sit there sneaking past a guard 50000 times until they figure out the hidden path the developer placed in poorly. And who cares if a game is on the PS4 or XboxOne? There's hardly any games for those systems yet.
Stop acting like you know so much about video games just because you played more ♥♥♥♥.
Also, I played WarZ. It was just as bad as DayZ. In fact, I prefer WarZ because the game actually had better controls and simpler inventory systems. Sure the developers were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but I had more fun in Warz than in Dayz.
Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the games I'm planning to play soon, when the price drop of course, even though it's turn based game, because why not? There is no harm in trying something new now and then, but most of all, the story and the combat mechanics are both related to me somehow, If the story is great but the combat mechanics are ♥♥♥♥♥♥, then I have no interest and vice versa.
