No French dubbing despite its special epicness???
This is a very bad decision from Obsidian/Ubisoft, french people watch movies & series in their original langage version with french subtitles most of the time (it's what I do), but there is some very rare exceptions, and one of them is South Park (and also The Simpsons).

For South Park, french dubbing is better than the english one (for native french speaking people), because in the english one Matt Stone & Trey Parker are doing almost all voices by themselves with the help of an audio computer software to modify them, those voices are too similar to each other, and sound too much like adult faking children voices.

In the French dubbing one, all main character have a different professional actor, and all of them know how to reproduce a litteral realist child voice, and the crude dialogues of South Park, in the mouth of realist children voices, take the show to another level of comedy, beyond the original one.

The problem was the same in their movie Team America: World Police, for this one french dubbing was more rich and singular.

There is also one other thing making South Park french dubbing version better than the english one for native french speaking people, the adaptation and translation is very well done, very smart, replacing insults and epic sentences by richer and very diversified and inept french ones.

Obsidian/Ubisoft, you should have investigate more to find out how people are watching South Park in each country, in french speaking countries people are watching it because yes Matt Stone & Trey Parker are genius, but because we have also an epic very special french dubbing for this show.

Obsidian/Ubisoft, you have a couple of weeks to fix this if you want this game to sell well in french speaking countries, call the original french actors, make a deal, pay them, and release a french dubbing version please.

Thank you :Deer:

EDIT: Someone made a Petition to ask Ubisoft & Obsidian to make a french dubbing with all the original french casting, you can sign it here, already 14,000+ signatures:

This is so true, please give us our French dubbing !
I won't buy this game if there is no French dubbing, there is no point, really, french are too used to their Souht Park very special dubbing, without this not only it is not worth it, but mainly it would spoil a great game.

Please consider making a french dubbing with all the original french cast.
How about the French finally start learning other languages?

Yeah, every single country on the world would like to have their own dubbing, you are not special.

South Park is one of the few series that I prefer watching with french dubs, more impact in the dialogue.

Funny how the entire topic is written in french, sorry but don't count me in for an english-speaking world only.

How about being nice and avoiding clumsy undocumented generalization? Every french who replied here did it in english.

We are not special, on the other hand french South Park dubbing is, I don't know about other South Park dubbing, but french one is notorius here for its singular epicness, and this is not the case of others french dubbing, this one is apart, it's an exception here, that's why it is worth mentionning it to the developpers if they want to sell the game in every french-speaking country.

If it is the same for your langages, then take this opportunity to tell it to developpers and tell them why.

And please let's avoid unfounded racist remark in this thread for once.

For starters French is not a race...

Secondly i doubt obsidian or end users have the money to support audio locaization of a game based on a show that is dubbed into hundreds of languages. Are you willing to pay 150 euro for this game? Because that is what you're asking.
Games dubbed in french are very common, and they don't cost 150 €, especially when the casting already exist.

That not the point, A game dubbed into french is one thing. But if they dub this game into french. Then they have to dub it into every every single language the show is dubbed into. Thats hundreds. So were back to the original question. What makes you think you're so special that you alone should get a dubbed version.
A very large amount of french people know english or at least can understand most of it so there really isnt any point
just to add my 2 cents , as an american i think that all AAA release games should have EFIGS (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish) audio options minium a good number of indies can, we not major releases. some even have slightly differant versions for french manlander and candian french. so why not.
the only reason i can think of why there should be French dubbing, is if France was a poor country and couldn't afford English teaching. i haven't heard anywhere France being a poor country.

Oh my god, you are not listening, I didn't say we are special, I said french South Park dubbing is special, it's a special one and I explained why: almost every character has a dedicated actor instead of having Matt Stone & Trey Parker making almost all the voices on their own, and instead of having fake children voices, french dubbing has coherent literal realist children voices, putting all those insults and sentences in very believable children voices make the all thing sound totally different, and therefor even more epic in so many ways.

And the other thing is that South Park got a special treatment in french, the adaptation and translation took many liberties to build richer dialogues, to put more diversity in every insult, etc.

That's why this french dubbing, unlike other french dubbing, is special and notorius for his singular treatment, and all french fan of South Park are waiting for this.
