Why not use it?
In short, it's just a really hard fight. I have beaten it on hardcore or whatever, but it was very difficult.
My main quest is forging an alliance with the girls, thought I finish off a couple of side quests before I continue since the last main story battle was pretty tough. Never thought I would get my a-r-s-e handed over to me. My rogue has backstab level 4, tried bleeding him out a couple of times, didn't work. Love my new recruit Cartman but flame a-r-s-e = not enough dps. One of my charater always loses a turn from the stun (global warming presentation) and receive multiple damage hits.
Before I bought this game, many reviewers said it was too easy on normal difficulty and recommended playing it on hard. The game to date is not too difficult...until Al Gore.
The Secret Service guys are super heavily armored, but easily defeatable with a 5-stack of bleeding.
The hard part, for me, is simply living long enough to have the bleeds tick.
The darts from the bar, or the broken bottle (from the sewers I think) is a good ranged weapon that stacks up bleed. Add any fire sticker for extra damage-over-time.
You can use Butters as a sacrifice by making him Piss Off Al Gore, and any stuns you might have (like Jew-Jitsu) are especially useful and I always, always, always stun Al Gore.
If you're really good at the Professer Chaos wheel, you can drain a lot of life if the Secret Service guys are still alive.
OP, if you're getting stunned by Global Warming Presentation, you need to practice your defense. There's 2 "hits" to deflect, and the second puts "Screwed" on your party, not just one person. You can avoid the status with Perfect defense.
Practice that defense.
yep, was going to add mog's advice now that he'd said it. The global warming presentation can be negated with perfect defense. The timing is very hard, but doable if you haven't had much trouble in the rest of the game. You need to deflect it to have a chance unless you wait until way later with max level and the best weapons.
You can't just do one level of the debuffs, you pretty much need 5 stack bleeding in one turn, that's why I recommended the dart. You get 5 or more attacks I think and it inflicts bleeding. you get it from skeeter's bar after doing his side quest iirc. Add a gross out strap on and you should be set up pretty well at the start.
I found Cartman to be the weakest NPC overall, I mainly use Butters, Stan, Kyle, or Kenny. However, if you can gross them out with farting (can't remember if you can), cartman's fire should do bonus damage. Or maybe it's farting on already burning people that does it, it's been a while since I've played it through.
No, it's just a bad joke from OP.
Upgrading an ability to Gross Out everyone when you use it (like Max Level Roshambo for Fighters) can also set up a Cartman fire fart combo (or other fire attacks). Though he's not the best companion in my opinion, he's a good damage sponge.
I usually have fire on the melee weapon, and gross out on the darts/broken bottle to combo there as well. Start with a couple ranged attacks and then light those fools up.
