So learn to block, learn the exact point when to release the mouse button to make the skill fire correctly, etc. As the game progresses you will get a better feel for it just from practice.
And stuns do NOT help against boss fights. I hate games with boss fights, it's a stupid gimmick when most of your good skills and play style that get you through 99% of the game are rendered useless.
If you have to, reduce the difficulty level. No one's going to look over your shoulder and accuse you of being a wimp.
