Report a translation problem
The toy chest does not share its contents with any other container. So anything you put inside will need to be retrieved again from your own room if you want it back. There is no carry limit, so there's no penalty really for not using it, I suppose it's for convienece and to remove clutter from your menu.
When you beat the game, you'll be allowed to continue playing. That's when you can get "Junk Peddler" (at least I think that's what it's called). So you can actually get both those achievements in one save, just don't sell anything until the final battle.
