There already exists a PC port though, it's just not on Steam for some bizarre reason.
In fact, it's even part of the Australian/European exclusive Sonic PC Collection bundle.

well that sucks

I think it's possible to find abandonware copies online or used physical disks on Amazon. You may need cracks to get it to work on windows 10 however: I can't remember if this is true or not but I think Heroes was one of those games using outdated DRM (possibly SecurROM?) that isn't compatible with Windows 10. I have the Sold Out software version on disk from back then.
yea i just want it on steam cause if im gonna pirate ill just emulate. i think i still have the ps2 version but that version runs at half speed.

Yeah, don't even bother with that one. Gamecube all the way.
isnt the xbox one technically the best? cause i think it still has the 60 fps and best load times, but i could be wrong thats the only one i never played, also the load times dont matter on emulator anyway

This

The old PC version is most likely an early version even since it’s bugged and the final boss seems to have missing textures if you compare appearances

That's why I've got my Sonic PC Collection as Sonic Heroes on that collection actually had its DRM removed and works like a charm on Windows 10. The whole collection is such a steal online. I got mine at a local Big W for only $20 back when it was relatively new and you can find it online for roughly the same price.

The PC version of Sonic Heroes uses SafeDisc, which doesn't work on Windows 10 while SecuROM is still compatible. Funnily enough, Sega actually used a warez scene crack to remove Sonic Heroes' DRM in the Sonic PC Collection release.

The GameCube and Xbox versions of Sonic Heroes both run at 60 FPS as far as console releases go, but the Xbox version apparently has higher quality FMVs compared to other versions. It's only the PlayStation 2 version that runs at 30 FPS and sometimes struggles even running at that, even with the downgraded graphics.

Xbox is missing some shaders apparently.

So it’s either Gamecube for better shaders, or Xbox for better cutscenes

Got that info online and I don’t remember noticing this

It's Xbox and PC for me, the latter because Xbox doesn't let me change the game language without changing the Xbox BIOS language, which is a problem that Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 2006's Xbox versions have as well.
The PS2 version had japanese dialogues and that's it.

Sega better remake this game .
i mean i just want a port, widescreen obviously but thats a simple change.
