"You spill water"
Whenever I equip armor (breastplate/cloak) and try to use my watering can, nothing comes out and the text says "You spill water."

This is mostly just a minor inconvenience, but is there some way around this?

Edit: okay, now even when I remove my armor it still spills, so I genuinely have no idea what's causing this.

You need to plow the ground so the vertical lines appear like in this screenshot : https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wm/2025/01/20250116094358_1.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2
Yes, that's how my farm looks. I just tested it myself, when they're seeds I spill water, but if I wait a day when they're planted I can water them.

They're mushroom seeds, if that makes a difference.

Are you sure its not already watered? If its dark colored, then its already watered, probably by rain. I grow mushrooms in a cave and i can always water it even if they are seeds.

If you waited a day then that would have removed the watered status from the tile.

Bottom line : if you hold the watering can and it says "water crops", then you can water it. If not, its already watered and you cant.

Are you trying to water crops? On properly tilled farmland? Try posting a screenshot in the discord.

If you have a properly tilled farmland using the hoe + plow, you will automatically water each tile with a planted crop that isnt watered. If rain has watered it for you, you cant water it again.

Watering normal ground does nothing except put out fires.

Donning a suit of armor permanently damaged your antennae, so now you're a very clumsy moth.

This helped me figure it out, it's because I was trying to water them as seeds before they had actually started growing as crops, lol. Thanks <3

This was it, i mistakenly thought they were un-watered even though they were already.

Thanks for the help :)
