Game gets more frustrating
It seems I'm getting a bit deeper in game, concerning dungeons, and now I have mobs that literally destroy half my invetroy with each attack (food, scrolls, books, looted gear). Literally everything that isn't fire proof (includes explosions, and shots by golems). Are there ways to protect my stuff? I mean, I need a few necessities I need to bring with me, when I delve deeper into dungeons. Atm. I would even take a mod that keeps the inventory save.

Yes, there are ways to protect your stuff.
The simplest would be to get Fireproof and Coldproof Blanket items.

These protect your items for as long as they have charges left.
General merchants sometimes stock them, though you can also learn to craft them using the Loom.

The second is to achieve a Fire or Cold Resistance of at least 15 points.
That's probably harder to do, especially if you're constantly upgrading your equipment and can't commit to a certain material.

Soft immunity to item destruction is 15 resistance. Hard immunity is 20. If you get hit by elemental scar it'll drop your resistances by 5, which means if you're at 15, you'll lose the immunity.

Frankly i'd just go with trying to nail down the 15 and then carry a couple of spare blankets. It doesn't happen often so it's easier to keep up with them that way.

Additionally, the higher your resistances, the less likely items are to be destroyed. So even if you're sitting at 12 resistance, you may find that item destruction is rare.

You can craft dragonscale boots, gloves, and head. (+12 fire/cold). It may seem like it sucks to not have all those random modifiers from miracle/godly items, but you don't need them anyway. All you need is the ribbon from mirai and then whatever Sustain you can muster on your remaining slots.

As a hint, use a cashmere hammer on your lightsource if you can find one, as that will give it a +4 cold resistance. So dragonscale flower crown, dragonscale shoes, dragonscale gloves, cashmere light source, that leaves you at 12/16, with 2 weapons, 2 rings, chest, belt, back, arm. Having just one of those be scale will set you over the soft cap for both resistances.
(dragonscale can be sheered from any dragonlike creatures including a certain loveable one. Cashmere can be sheared from rabbits, snow putits, snow bears, and some other things you'd imagine would be set for the snow environment).

I hated this mechanic with a passion, but once I got a full set of 8 followers with all their resistances at 15, it's just been smooth sailing ever since.
Thought I add in a few more tips to up those resists... Later on you can get the intonation of (insert element here) spell or scrolls and they give whatever element added to melee, ranged attacks from a weapon BUT also adds resists to said element but so far at low level its only +7-8 but I'm leveling it to see if it goes higher. What will go higher however is the resists of the god of elements, more faith/prayer and longer you stick with them more resists you get... However same goes for enemies as they can have faith in a god which might be equal to their level combined a elite/evolved status you might want to re-roll a inquisitor character.

Leveling Intonations should only increase the duration of the effect.
I think the resistance bonus is based purely on the related Attribute.
Since players normally only have ready access to Fire, Cold, Lightning, Chaos, and Holy Intonation spells, this would be Magic for all but Holy, and then Will for Holy Intonation.
I believe the resistance bonus from Intonation also caps out at +20.
Which is pretty nice, of course.
I just wish we had access to all the elements for Intonation.

I lucked into a dragon scale stone from the junk gacha. Now everyone in all my bases has full dragon scale armor and +12 Fire/Cold resist.

Duration on intonations becomes a non-issue if you use magic spells to deal damage as a mage or using your party since the "duration" is for how many times you can empower normal attacks with said element.
Also to whats been said above about resists on equipment... enchant that armor with resists and the resists go up at +2 or +3? Would only take like 3 dragonscale armor pieces at that point or find some godly items that already have fire/cold resist, get 2 dragonscale hammers then max enchant both to get peace of mind, then repeat for the whole party.
