And it says that the more that the milk-producer's stats have grown from its initial state determines the gains its milk will give.
Then again, it also says "the details are being investigated" so take that with a grain of salt.
You can TRY getting some of your own milk, and using a stethoscope to see before/after changes from feeding the baby the milk.
While hatching from an incubator allows for three feedings before the baby grows up.
Since OP seems to already have the incubator, it might be best to keep using that just to be able to benefit from one more milk feeding.
Though of course, you can still make use of the hot spring eggs made from unfertilized eggs, if you don't have another use for them.
I tested out feeding my own +4 milk and an evolved orc's(met him at 20F of the Void) +12 milk. A quick look indicates that potential-wise there doesn't seem to be any difference, however stat-wise and feat point-wise there's a drastic one. Feeding my milk caused the pet to gain a huge amount of perception(56), will(35), dexterity(32) and magic(79). Also, the casting skill is really high(63). Doesn't look like genetics are involved, because if they were it'd have sky-high charisma. 12 feat points.
The orc milk-fed pet gained endurance(62), magic(31), strength(34) and the rest are 10/20s.
Regen(16), marksman(72!), tactics (33), martial arts(44). 36 feat points.
In other words, stats are random, feat points gained from milk feeding is basically whatever +attribute it is on the milk. I haven't tried blessing the milk to see whether it affects anything, but maybe if I'll stockpile a ♥♥♥♥ ton of it afterwards I will check it out.
What I do know about blessing milk is that it blessed milk causes height increase, while cursed milk causes height reduction, so likely it won't do anything more than that, but please share your finding regardless. I'm interested in understanding these mechanics, but havn't had the opportunity to dive into them much.
I realised that I still had some extra orc's milk, so I blessed it and tried it out.
No difference at all, just as you said all it did was increase the height, doesn't look like there's a change in potential or anything else. Same stats though as the other orc milk-fed pet, so they are not random at the very least. Dunno what influences them though.
how to milk yourself?
looks like my poor baby snow putits will be able to defend themselves after this
Or, eating a Dream Larva.
Also, eating any food that has either of those blended into it.
I think there are other ways, too.
