Assasin for general DPS and very high Mobility
Dancer for those who are Lucky and very good item synergy
I have not tried out the unlockable classes yet, but Sniper and Brawler may be very good contenders as well.
aside from that the best class is the one you are the best at playing. play better do more dps. play good no hit enrage timers.
for example, spellblade goes crazy with any of the bleed, sap, on-hit chance, on use chance (especially if you get the gcd primary upgrade gem), flat bonus hit damage etc. effects. Oh, and 'deal damage x times' as well.
Probably Assassin because you can just ignore the mechanics with vanish.
I love heavyblade very much and also thoroughly enjoying dancer
at first I actually preferred assassin & heavyblade but druid is just way easier.
Can focus less on dmg rotations and more on mechanics, really easy/big dmg if you just focus on the special/butterflies
(sometimes it even possible/optimal to just spam special and ignore primary/secondary and still do more than enough dmg to avoid enrage),
Secondary can be nice for mouse/aoe with the right upgrades as druid cleave is pretty bad normally.
tl;dr Druid has big lazy dmg / bad aoe without items/gem upgrades
