I know the frequency, but I request Konami to fix this star egg somehow in the digital game. For example, put the frequency in the game poster on the game launch page. New gamers should also enjoy the story of the game

Just press R1 & L1 to open the game menu. There is a point called online-manual. You'll find the box art / case there.

Actually her codec freq and CD case are embeded in game launcher - open Online Manual and you will see 3d render of DISC case from both sides. If you rotate it you can see Meryl freq!

They literally gave us virtual DISK case we can look at.

But to be honnest this feature was bad anti-pirate measure, it was not clear.

1st time when i played it as kid, and had the actual disk with case, i did not understand that i have to look at actual disk of game! I was wasing hours looking for some in game disk that i may have missed somewhere! I was searching every corner of every area, i was trying find some room with computers, then i have idea that maybe game glitched and character supposed to give me some disk and it did not appear? so i started new game and stuck again! Jeez i dont remember how i ended up looking for freq on actual disk, but it was not my first guess!

Rented it back in the day. They put Meryl's frequency in a little note in the box.

Back when i pirated the PC Version of MGS1, i simply tried ALL codec values until I got her.

Course my dumbass didn't think about simply googling the solution at the time...

I got a good laugh when I saw it was the last picture in the store when i went to pre-order; as if that were the back of the case or a nod to it.
