FOV? Framerate Cap?
The first game was great, but the PC port was bad because

a) the field-of-view was set incredibly narrow (I'm guessing 60 degrees if that)

b) the framerate was locked at 30fps

Worse, while the game was Unreal Engine - pretty standard config files to tweak - the config files were encrypted or something, so you couldn't even fix this stuff yourself.

Are those issues addressed here in the sequel? Or, at the least, are the config files not scrambled or encoded so we can actually change the values manually this time?

It's same as WFC but there has been a utlity released to change settings here:

http://aluigi.altervista.org/quickbms.htm

download quickbms, download the war for cybertron script, by right clicking the link and hitting save.

Then open the quickbms exe, then open the script, and then open coalesced.ini in your transformers game directory (under steam most likely).

steam\steamapps\common\Transformers Fall of Cybertron\TransGame\Config\PC\Cooked

It's a text file when decrypted and you have to edit it manually, search for "bindings=" without quotes.

The framerate issues have been resolved mostly, it isn't anywhere near as bad as war for cybertron where your mouse and fps were fubar'd.

There's more info here:

can i use this to edit my framecap from 60 fps to 144 fps i am using a 144 Hz monitor. I did the following steps what you said but i need forther help. in Config\PC\Cooked map i now see 2 files : the coalesced and the coalesced_decrypted files while i can edit the later one mannualy and save it after editting, i leave the 2 files and boot up the game.. but nothing happend in game. Still the 60 FPS and not the edited 144FPS i changed all the framerate values in the decrypted file to 144FPS and the smoothed framerate to FALSE but nothing.. am i supposed to put the decrypted file somewhere else ? deleting the encrypted one wil not start up the game.

I cannot place the decrypted coalesced inside the original one..
Am i doing something wrong ? OR is the decrypted one only working with WAR for Cybertron ?
