Ray Gun Mark II is like an assualt rifle version of the regular Ray Gun. It's stronger with no splash damage but seems to run out of ammo faster shooting in bursts. Still, I won't even use the regular Ray Gun. Old and overused too. lol

IMO the good thing about the M II (especially papped) is that if you use it to close to an object it wont hurt yourselves, regular raygun was a pain sometimes doin that.

I actually pefer to use the old ray gun, Less ammo waste, More automatic, and single fire is a good thing. If they had a switch on the mk 2 where you could switch it burst to single then it would be good but yeah the mk 2 inst a favorite in my opinion

using just the MK2 i can get from starting to 30 without a PaP so you tell me :P (probs cause im a dirty juggernog camper)

I would prefer fully automatic instead of single fire because the normal ray gun has splash damage so it can get rid of zombies much quicker with one bullet. It also feels like it has much more dmg/bullet than the ray gun mk 2. But oh well, the ray gun mk 2 bullets also penetrate so that's better too.

Also changing it to fully automatic would make the burst-fire mode pretty obsolete. So I guess you are right about the semi-automatic choice. Fully automatic would make it pretty overpowered.

Yeah but the ray gun with double tap is automatic which is what i like lol

Does it actually also apply the double bullets bonus from the double tap? For example you shoot 6 bullets instead of 3 per burst. I haven't seen anybody confirming this yet.

no lol no gun does that, no offense thats just common sense, Double tap just allows you to pull the trigger faster.

You obviously don't play zombies that much I see.

Double tap in waw/bo1 - Increases rate of fire 33% (Does nothing to semi autos)

Double tap in bo2 - Fires 2 for every 1 bullet fired.

and the ray gun is ALWAYS full auto. Though its ROF is extremely low. Double tap simply increases this.

Btw no perk can make you pull your trigger faster. Its up to your finger to do that =)

BO1 had double tap 1.0 and BO2 has double tap 2.0. At least that's what ppl keep saying. I didn't know all that. Supposedly you can tell the difference. There's like bullet holes that denote which version you are drinking on the dt machine.

Supposedly dt has some type of affect for all weapons. To me dt has always made the guns more powerful/better at killing zombies.

Funny beacuse ive played way more zombies than you and double tap just increases rate of fire/which means you are firing faster. I guess you didnt get that.

To end the Double Tap arguement: There are 2 versions of it: BO1 D-T, and BO2 D-T which are 1.0 and 2.0, basically.

1.0: Greatly increases RoF on Full-Auto weapons, including the Ray Gun.

2.0: Greatly increases RoF on Full-Auto weapons, allows Semi-Auto weapons to shoot per rapid trigger-pull instead of having a slight "Cooldown" between pulls, and doubles damage (because it's DOUBLE Tap) with ALL weapons, except thrown grenades and (although unconfirmed) grenade launchers.

So there. Arguement: OVER. Now stop crying, change your diaper, and play the gosh-dang game.
