Until we see the last map, it might not even matter (and once we do, we might learn that it didn't matter anyway as the story then goes roughly "they worked for the same goal but didn't know it" and Richtofen suddenly turns into a good guy or something...)
And Maxis is probably more or less a ghost as far as we know (that guy was alive in 1945 and unless he decided to ALSO travel nearly 80 years into the future, he would be either dead in some form or an AI)
Besides, the game can't really check which of the two sides you did but will only check for the achievement (because having ALL FOUR PLAYERS have done the exact same way isn't likely and you can do the other side in the following playthrough just as easily)
i think treyarch will put code in the game that will check which side the players have completed the easter egg otherwise thier will be no point of doing a particular side. jimmy tweeted a while ago choose one side and stick with it.
And no, there is no way to check that as in four players, there can be four different combinations of what could've been done in the previous four maps. Heck, there is a total of 16 possible combinations per player. Meaning that in the last map, the chance to find four people having done the exact same way is 1/64 (and 62 of those ways would be with mixed solved Easter Eggs).
Dude, THINK first before you open you mouth - there is NO WAY they are going to have such a check.
