EDIT - You can also play multiplayer, judging by your profile you like black ops 1. They have their own black ops 1 servers that are way more populated than the normal servers. Worried about having to start again? Not an issue, because of how old the game is the plutonium client allows you to unlock max prestige and every gun, camo, side arm etc... saves you grinding and just enjoy the game for what it is. This is the same for other CODs on there.
A few weeks after the RCE patch by the developers, a new mod menu had been created and the patch was exploited again. If you want to chance it, be my guest... I don't see why people choose not to download plutonium.. it's free, has a ton more players, has a better anti-cheat and keeps your PC safe. I don't understand why people insist on playing a broken/ full of hackers old game. Then get annoyed when the devs do not update the game. If you look on the small print of every physical game/ and or the steam purchasing T&C they can discontinue support at their discretion and close down live servers. This game is old people, wake up! No more patches or support will be coming. The only true and safe way to play this game is to play plutonium. Period.
