One tip is to always have a staff on u like fire when upgrading the the staffs in the crazy place. I never upgrade a staff unless I have another.
The key to all of this is patience and of course knowing how to save one or two zombies at the end of rounds.
End of Round 9 - The Ice Staff, Wind Staff, and Lightning Staff have all been assembled, their riddles completed, and I have placed them on their respective holders in The Crazy Place. I also have the Fire Staff assembled and equipped and the free PaPd MG08 as my secondary weapon. Shield and Maxis drone are also built and equipped.
Rounds 10 through 12 - I light up the four torches for the Fire Staff riddle in The Crazy Place and at the same time upgrade the three other staves into Ultimate Staves.
Round 13 - I cleanse the stone in the Holy Water with zombie souls. For this, I used the knife melee with the Ultimate Wind Staff. This way, you can melee one zomb at a time or blow up a horde coming at you.
Round 14 - Cleansed stone is back on the Tank Station table and I'm doing the same thing I did on Round 13. Airstrike Monkey Bombs obtained.
Rounds 15 and 16 - I have equipped the normal Fire Staff and used it to fill up three soul chests.
Round 17 - Before the round starts, I complete the Fire Staff riddle and put the Fire Staff on its holder in The Crazy Place. Then, I run back and pick up the Wind Staff and use it to upgrade the Fire Staff. Step 1: Secure the Keys is complete.
I save a zombie at the end of the round so I can put the three staves in the robots and the Fire Staff at the bottom of the Excavation Site. Obviously, this step is very tedious. Step 2: Ascend from Darkness is complete.
And now the trickiest solo step to this easter egg... Going to Generator 5, hopping into the center robot, pushing the red button, getting purged and tossing an Airstrike Monkey Bomb onto the seal. Step 3: Rain Fire is (almost) complete.
I send the Maxis Drone into the pit... Six Panzer Soldats rain down... I blast them all with the Ultimate Fire Staff. Step 3: Rain Fire is complete
Round 18 - Fill up the 4th and final soul chest. I was lucky to get a zombie blood during this round. It allowed me to shoot down the glowing plane.
At the end of the round, I shoot the three burning carts with the Ice Staff for the free zombie blood... Grab it... Run counter-clockwise around Excavation Site and kill the zombie running around it. Pick up the Maxis Drone it drops. Step 5: Skewer the Winged Beast is complete.
Now I go and grab the Thunder Gloves out of the ritual box.
Round 19 - I go down to the bottom of the Excavation Site to punch Templar Zombs with glowing arms. I have the Ultimate Fire Staff equipped in case a horde comes at me.
They drop the stone and I pick up the Iron Fist. Step 6: Wield a Fist of Iron is complete.
At end of round, go place all staves in their holders in The Crazy Place
Rounds 20 and 21 - Kill zombies in The Crazy Place until the achievement unlocked pops up on your screen. I was also lucky enough to have gotten the Mark II out of the box when I was hitting it on Round 19. That made this step way easier.
You also have to be careful of the robots, because if the zombies are stepped on, they don't respawn. Same thing applies to the tank. If the tank kills a zombie, that zombie won't respawn.
Also, to save your time, you should try to fill up the soul chests starting at round 3. If all goes well (no robot steps on the chests before it is filled up, and all zombies you kill contribute to the chests), you should have all 4 chests filled by round 8. Be sure to open the Mystery Box and try to get something powerful to battle the Panzer Soldat. Weapons dug up from the ground won't do with this thing.
And, a classic tip: always leave a zombie alive at the end of a round. Granted, the zombie will chase you like hell, but as long as you don't damage it, it won't die randomly. Make sure whatever you're gonna do won't kill it unless it's necessary.
In terms of collecting the staff parts, you should try to open enough debris to be able to reach all 3 robots' feet by round 4. Zombies will start running at you at the end of this round, so it is necessary to get this done early so you can collect the Wind Staff parts without sacrificing zombies to the robots. With the Lightning Staff, make sure that you're always leaving one zombie alive while riding the tank, and not in front of the tank or on the left and right sides, as the flamethrowers would kill it. As for Ice Staff, well, try to avoid digging up dirt mounds when it's not snowing. Only dig if you're not having a weapon in early rounds.
