"Connecting to Online Services" issue

Was playing yesterday fine for 2 or so hours.

Ive logged on this morning to try and load the game up again , this time i get constantly hit with "connecting to online services" for 2 or so minutes , where it eventually tries to re-direct me to the BO2 Server status page which has been no help at all.

Ive done some diggin online to try and sort the problem myself to no avail. Ive tried the typical restart router , restart PC , reinstall the game and verify game files. None of which has worked, ive also messed around with my IP and DNS settings , which again has not helped.

If it helps I am on a wired connection.

Anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it? Or am i missing something very basic?

I am having the same issue, i dont know what to do

Try this: When the game boots up don't press enter or anything, wait about 30 seconds in the main menu (do not alt-tab) then online services should work.
This is a bug where I believe the game automatically starts connecting to online services, then opens another connection if you try to proceed while it hasn't finished the initial connection. Might be wrong though, but the above method always guarantees online services to work every time for me.

copied from another user's post, and it worked for me, i actually waityed without doing anything for closer to 2 minutes, just in case

Ive now found a fix for this. Mixture of waiting and making sure when you load up Steam you are pressing "Run as an Adminstrator" Worked ever since.

To my surprise, this actually worked for me. Been sitting here for 45 mins trying to connect, finally tried this method and worked 2nd time I tried- I think I didn't wait long enough the 1st time.
