Activision sending Cease and Desist letters/taking down SM2, Xlabs, and BOIII has got to be the most insecure thing a gaming company has done. Activision hates their fans and does not care at all about our enjoyment. They know their new games are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and are trying to force us to play them by removing almost all the fan made mods. These mods were the only way to enjoy the older cods safely. The only one left is Plutonium but I doubt there is much time left for them. These fan made mods were made to ensure the players safety because the older games are filled with hackers and cheaters and in some instances like BO3, hackers can crash your pc and put malware on it. I get that its Activision's property but they have abandoned these old games and they are no longer safe. These mod creators were just trying to do something good for the COD community. ♥♥♥♥ Activision.
