Floating when jumping

Whenever I try and jump I sort of float around and sometimes it doesn't jump at all. It isn't an internet issue as my ping is on 5.
PC specs just in case:
3060ti
R5 5600x
32GB 3600mhz ram

if you aren't using any third-party mods which could cause this, I guess it can be related to very high framerates (considering your overkill rig for BO2). older PC CoDs occasionally used to act weirdly whenever the fps values were high like 200+. because the physics engine was partially tied to framerate, sometimes things like jump height and footstep sounds weren't functioning as intended while fps was very high. if that's the case for you, try setting an fps cap (such as 200), and play again to see if same things occur again.
