Demo conclusion on 31st. Skipping the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

This post isn't really as gloomy as it might initially sound, but I have been observing and listening to player feedback on the game's demo, and decided that the best course for the game is to have its release delayed for a bit.

If you don't know, Slap Squad's demo was supposed to participate in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which would have helped a lot in reaching new players and extending the game's marketing, with a planned release in 2023.

After initially releasing the demo, I have noticed a lot of players feeling frustrated about the game's experience, or just bored because of a repetitive game loop pattern. I apologize for that and promise to take action to change it.

I have summarized things I should be focusing development on as such:

More unique game modes.
Finishing character progression system and customizations.
Adding more unique chaotic weapons.
Completing a visual overhaul, so that the game looks more presentable and easy on the eyes.
Polishing player movement and model.

I hope these changes can affect the game's perception positively in the future, and enable me to create a generally better game.

In other news, I WILL BE NEEDING PLAY TESTERS, so if you are interested, you can look out for that in the future.

Demo Releases on Jan 25th!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the first look on Slap Squad, a physics based online brawler where you can slap your friends unconscious.
The demo will be released on Jan 25th 2023. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the game's content so far, and will await any feedback you may have.

DEMO CONTENT

The demo will include 4 levels, featuring the free for all "Last Man Standing" mode. Your objective is simple, stay alive and don't get slapped out of the arena!

Use guns, explosives, powerups or even the power of your slaps to reach victory.

BUCKLE UP FOR SOME ACTION

You can either choose to group up with up to 8 friends and brawl it out, or join the fun with one of the available public lobbies.

SOMEONE SAID BUGS??

The demo offers full controller support, and a feedback survey is available in the pause screen. You can easily submit feedback or bug reports from the in-game menu, without an annoying browser tab popping up!
I intend on reading all the feedback you might have for the game, so please feel free to be frankly honest and speak your mind on what you liked and didn't like. All feedback is appreciated!
