These changes are now available in the alpha branch.

Note that they should also be rolled into the beta and release branches in the near future.

The default release branch is recommended if you would prefer to play a more stable build.

• Exploration

  • FEATURE - Add dig spots that spawn around the map similar to berry bushes. These require a shovel to interact with them and give you a random item from a pool of possibilities.

  • BALANCE - Adjust tile stack sizes for various items like potatoes

  • FIX - The rifle would load ammo past zero if the player was low in their inventory

• Travel

  • FEATURE - Add option to bring a shovel into exploration from travel

Hi all!

The changes here include what has been recently available in the alpha branch build. They should also be available in the beta branch around the time this post is published, followed soon by the release branch.

• Exploration

  • FIX - Resolve issue where campsites were interactable from too far away. Introduced with The Performance Update due to changes with vegetation masking

  • CHANGE - Reduce the volume of ambience in exploration

• Travel

  • FIX - Item highlight would get stuck when paging in the inventory

  • FIX - Sorting by weight wasn't working

  • FIX - Inventory count text was showing behind the item sprites

  • FIX - Other minor UI issues

  • IMPROVEMENT - Add missing button SFX to various inventory controls

  • CHANGE - Rework inventory selection UI a bit

  • IMPROVEMENT - Add SFX to death and game over UI

• General

  • FIX - Make item name casing more consistent

  • IMPROVEMENT - General code cleanup

  • FIX - Hopefully resolve strange issue where severe storm weather wasn't causing rain to occur
