Game freezing on startup.

I decided to try to replay ftl after a couple years today. Reinstalled it, it loaded up fine. Then I changed the resolution to fullscreen native which it said I needed to restart for it to take effect. I restarted....and now I can;t play the game. It freezes every single time during the loading screen. Sometimes the bar won't even start to fill and the fps counter won't show up. Some times the load bar gets about a quarter of the way. Farthest its gotten is halfway but it always freezes. I can't even change the resolution back to try to fix it since the game won't load to LET me fix it. Anyone have any ideas?
Edit: I've already restarted my computer, I've reinstalled the game, and I've verified the integrity of the files. None of those helped.

im getting the exact same problem for litterally the smae reason, wtf I love FTL but now i cant play it at all

Btw, if i see soemone say "uninstall and reinstall" i swear to god, its legit the second thing anyone would do, after vertifying files which both times have not worked for me

Windows 10, intel i7 processor, gtx 1060. (Just to answer any future questions about hardware)

FTL had some problems with windows 10 before, so it might be the case

Try to run it as administrator, if that won't work then try older version of ftl:

If that won't work then contact with subset support so they fix your problem

So, I got this super unorthodox solution that worked.

If it crashes on startup, right click the task bar, and start it up a few more times. One of those should stick. Worked for me just now, but no guarantees. :p

sorry but what do you mean "right click the task bar" like is there something else to do as well or?

This actually worked, thanks! I right clicked the FTL icon on the windows task bar, selected FTLGame another 3 times. 3 windows got stuck, 1 survived.,

i got an email from the developer and told them by problem, they siad that it was my drivers and were not up to date.
