Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Aspect Ratio/Black Bars, Ultrawide Fix?
I play on a 5120x1440 resolution using 32:9 as my native aspect ratio.

Does anyone know of any way to play with black bars on the side so the image is not stretched? Or even better a fix for the ultra wide issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I know it's an old game but GRAW 2 works like a dream with my resolution and aspect ratio, too bad this game never got a decent PC Version)

Hi, and welcome to the forum !

I've taken note of your question about how to play Ghost Recon Future Soldier without display Issues.

If you'd like to play the game without stretching Issue, I invite you to check different display modes, such as windowed in a different aspect ratio, in order to see if the game is displayed without Issues.

Don't hesitate to let us know if this helped, or if you have any other questions !

Thank you for your response.

Since there is no window mode availabe of this game (consider the nature of the port of Future Soldier), this is not on option. Even going into User/Documents/Ubisoft/Future Soldier and changing the "Deafult.cfg" file from "Fullscreen True" to "Fullscreen False" doesn't display a proper window.

HOWEVER! I Did find a bootleg fix.
-----------------------------

* Using your Nvidia Control Panel (or your equvilant of that) to change your resolution to 1920x1080 and changing the display mode to 16:9 (giving you native black bars on windows).

* Then starting Future Soldier and switching the resolution from 5120x1440 to 1920x1080, and then closing the game. will save your settings.

* Going back into your Nvidia Control panel and changing back to your standard resolution and aspect ratio - Will allow you to still use you standard display settings AND play Future Soldier in 16:9 fullscreen WITH blackbars.

Definitely not optimal but I'd much rather have black bars then not seeing the game displayed properly.

Thanks for getting back to us ELAKPUCKO3!

The game doesn't support ultra-wide resolution without the image being letterboxed I'm afraid so I'm glad to see you've found a solution that works for you in the meantime!

If there is anything more we can help with, please let us know!
