Ubisoft Game launcher
Hi All,

getting below error , There was a problem starting your game ,The ubisoft game launcher was not found .Please try reinstalling the game , error code 1

Could you please try reinstalling the Ubisoft Connect launcher[ubi.li]?

This won't uninstall any of your games.

If there's still no change after that, please contact us directly via our Support Site[ubi.li] , Facebook[ubi.li] or Twitter[ubi.li] so we can take a closer look.

I got same Problem, have installed Ubisoft Connect but then it requires activation code, where can I find those?

Hey Macoy,

A key shouldn't be required as the game is bound to your Ubisoft account automatically.

If you're still being asked for a code, could you please try verifying the game's files[ubi.li]?

If there's still no change, please give these steps a try to clear the cache;

Firstly, please make sure you're launching Steam and Ubisoft Connect with admin privileges.[ubi.li]

Then, please, navigate to the Ubisoft Game Launcher "cache" folder, by default located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache

Open the cache folder and move the "ownership" folder to a safe location.

Once you have backed up that folder, delete the "cache" folder.

After deleting the cache folder, please verify the game files within Steam.[ubi.li]

If an issue is found, you will be given the option to Repair, click Repair. After repairing the issue, please verify the game again until no issues are found.

When this has been completed, try launching the game again.

Please help advice.

I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried all of the solutions above and it still asks for a Key in Steam, and will not detect the game's existence in Ubisoft Connect.

After several chats with different Ubisoft support agents, they were unable to resolve the problem. Had to refund, unfortunately.
