When do people use the Steam LoTRO forum and when do people use the forum at lotro.com ?

I pop in here in part at least to help if I can; I go to the LotRo forum to either see what people are moaning about now or to learn from some of the the articles on eg being a better Guardian/Hunter/whatever.

same as above - jump on here to see if people are having problems - main info is at the loro site though.
The only problem I have with the main lotro site is the use of game terms which alot of new people may not understand - and may feel a bit intimidated on the lotro forums to ask. (Noobs versus Boons an all that)

Some people don't want to follow the rules of the game's official forums or were banned, or whatever else, and thus, post here (or do so in the reverse). Others like the Steam forums better than Turbine's, or visa versa. A lot of it is personal preference. Some Steam players are probably not even aware of the Turbine forums for the game and just find these ones. Other people playing the game do not have it or use it with Steam, and thus, post to Turbine's forums only. The reasons vary.
