The Guardian: The guard wears heavy armour and is a simple, easy to learn class. You have skills to raise aggro, you can force the enemy to attack you, and you wear heavy armour, which allows you to take some hits.
The Warden: To play the warden you need the moria expansion pack. The warden is way different to the guardian. First of all he works with his gambit system. He makes combos with his 3 main skills: spear, fist and shield. For example: shield+spear unlocks the skill reserve strike (i think so, dont know them all). With higher lvls you can unlock 3,4 and 5 combo gambits. The warden only wears medium armour, so you cant take a lot of damage at once. To counter that he can buff himself to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MAX. In the tanking stance most of his gambits give him +block rate, +parry rate, +evade rate and even pretty high self heals, and health drains from the enemy. The wardens aggro also works diferently. While the guardian uses a skill and gets instantly 15% aggro. The warden uses an aggro skill and his aggro goes up in a curve (1%...2%...3% and so on) But later with better skills his aggro rises faster. Thios means of course that the warden has to attack 10s or so before the rest of his group does, so he can build some aggro. The upside of this is, that the warden can build way more aggro than the guardian, but the downside is, he needs time, he needs to buff himself too, while doing this and of course most new players dont understand how the warden works so the attack blindly, before you can build aggro and then complain when they die. Tis of course makes the warden very hard to master, but you can solo 6 man runs, if you can :D
Of course now i have said more about the warden, but hes is just waaaaaaaaaay more complex. If you are good at memorizing combinations, have the patience to explain the others how the warden works the first 30-50 lvls and the have the time to really get into your class, then choose the warden. If your looking to only play casually/try the game go guard.
