make your bow your main weapon

I just started playing a little bit ago maybe about 2 days ago made a hunter class and i was wondering if someone could helpv me figure out how to set my bow as my main weapon cuz all its letting me have equiped as main and secondary is daggers

All I can think of are the following two things:
1) The bow that you want to equip requires a higher level than the one you actually are.
2) Did your original load-out have a bow in it? If not, I don't think you actually started a hunter class...

If not one of the above, I'd say your dealing with a glitch for which I don't know any fix.

hunter can duel wield for close combat like sword and another sword for melee then its main dps is bow\crossbow.unless the weapon your trying equip is higher than your then you have to wait . or you be a champ or burg or lm those are the only ones i know that could duel wield weapons (lm staff and sword)

See my problem is that my class says im a hunter but i can only have 2 daggers and one of them is in the main item slot ill try createing a new person and see what it does

The loadout it starts me with is a dagger in main then a bow in that bow slot and i chose hunter class

Bow does not go to main or off hand, it belong to 3rd slot - ranged, and hunter uses it from there just fine

^ that ..your range skills which is the hunter main skills takes inductions with the exception of penetetrating shot and merciful shot ...dazing blow is your friend if you cant melee em .so you can reposition .:D goodluck and have fun

When you acquire any bow that you can use (i.e. corect level) -- all you need to do is click on it and it will automatically equip.

To fight with it you have a specific set of bow-skills that you must use. (copy them to your quickslot bar.) I believe you start with Quick Shot at level 1, gain Penetrating sot at level 2 and barbed arrow at level 4. So that by the time you leave the Intro, you have 3 bow skills.

Note that bow shots must ALWAYS be triggereed, Auto Attack is always with a meele weapon.

Bows go in the ranged slot. Melee items and shields go in main and second hand slots.
