Game not opening!?!

so i open Steam, select lotro, and click play. When the login pops up for lotro i log in and select the server i want to play on. When i click play nothing happens! Nothing changes and the game does not come up! PLEASE HELP

what type of computer and os do you have usally if something like that happens just leave the game be for a few minutes after nothing happens

im running windows 7.. ive waited for 15 mins now and the game still has not come up. but when i click play in steam again it says it is already running

To fix your problem go to the folder where lotro is installed, start turbinelauncher from within the folder, login, accept UELA and from there on on the game will work like normal again from within STEAM. For some reason the launcher refuses to display the new UELA when you start the game from within STEAM after the last update.

I just downloaded Lord of the Rings yesterday, when I try to start it up the launcher screen keeps popping up a million miles fast over and over. I have to restart the computer everytime. Am I the only one with this problem. Just to save time I am using Windows 7.

Going to try a different game Lord of the rings is not working says something about microsoft framework 1.1 is not compatiable.

I got a Steam update yesterday and after that I got the same fault.
The workaround doesn't work for me.

The workarounds are also not working for me.

Same here; Windows 8.1. The workarounds aren't working, and the launcher eventually crashes. However, the game is running as usual on my Windows 7 laptop, also through Steam.
