A Premium Account has a few bonuses over the Free to Play Account. https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Account_Type Link to all the various Benefits of each Account Type.
- free,
- premium, which just means you've spent real money on the game at some point. It unlocks the free restrictions, gives some more character slots
- VIP which is running a sub.
F2p area is now lvl 1 to 95 with all the pre-2013 content. Anything that came out after Helm's Deep you either buy or run a sub to access (and even a sub doesn't cover the latest expansions).
Depending on what you did with your account before you stopped playing in 2011 you might have items that are associated with it. If you type /claim in the chat window of your character you'll see what that might be.
1. Free Account
2. Premium Account
3. VIP Account
