The Lord of the Rings Online™

Is it worth moving servers now as a new player ? ( mods please remove this post)
I started on gladden not happy with my experience thus far. Is it worth changing servers to see if I can find something more active and find a new kinship friends or just wait for the free 64 bit server and stay on gladden for now ?

edit; since people are incapable of being nice i ask the mods to please remove this post i also received my answer from the one kind person in this thread and its no longer needed it just detailed into a hate train of homophobia and bigotry

Yes, you can play "The Lord of the Rings Online" (LOTRO) in a way that minimizes interaction with other players and focuses on solo content. Here's how you can do it:

Turn Off Chat: You can disable or hide the chat windows. To do this, right-click on the chat tab and uncheck the channels you don't want to see. You can also create a new tab and only enable the chats you want to follow.

Solo Epic Quests: The main storyline (Epic Quests) can be completed solo. Some instances within the Epic Quests may require a group, but they often have solo options or can be done with the help of in-game boosts.

Solo Skirmishes: Skirmishes are designed to be scalable, meaning you can do them solo. These instances scale with your level and can be a great way to progress alone.

Side Quests: Most side quests in the game can be completed solo, allowing you to explore Middle-earth at your own pace.

Ignore Players: If you encounter toxic players, you can use the "Ignore" feature to block them. This can help reduce negative interactions.

Join a Solo-Friendly Kinship: Some kinships (guilds) are designed for solo players who prefer minimal interaction. Finding one of these can provide support without the pressure of group activities.

While it’s unfortunate that your experience has been marred by toxicity, LOTRO still offers a rich solo experience that lets you immerse yourself in Tolkien’s world. Enjoy your adventures in Middle-earth!

If you need any tips or have questions about specific quests, feel free to ask.

It's understandable that you're looking for a more relaxed environment. The Peregrin server is designated as a Roleplay (RP) server, which means roleplaying is encouraged but not mandatory. This can create a different atmosphere compared to Glamdring, which is a more general-purpose server1.

Many players find RP servers to be more immersive and community-oriented, as they attract players who are interested in roleplaying and creating a rich, story-driven experience. However, the level of strictness and enforcement of roleplaying can vary from server to server and even from kinship to kinship.

If you're hoping for a less harsh environment, Peregrin might be a good choice, especially if you find a kinship that aligns with your preferences. It's always a good idea to check out the server's community and see if it matches what you're looking for.

Have you considered reaching out to any kinships on Peregrin to get a feel for their community before making the switch?
