POLL - How many VIP Players will leave LOTRO after the 32 Bit Servers are removed?
How many of you have 64-Bit Systems to play 64-Bit games?

Why leave the 32 Bit servers? Other than SSG says it will remove them, after a majority of players swap to 64 Bit? Then they cancel Free Switching, and remove the 32 Bit ones, and that deletes all your characters, Items, LOTRO Points and more that you enjoyed playing with!

LOTRO points have nothing to do with characters or servers.
Steam "version" is the same game, it shouldn't have any exclusive bugs. It's main issue is that the installer is outdated and is also missing some current required third-party files.

any details on these 'missing files'?
The main reason for the eventual removal of the old server would be just down to cost saving. There's no real point in SSG continuing to pay for inferior servers.

At this point Spotter is just coming across like some troll.

"Also, why leave the 32 Bit servers? Other than SSG says it will remove them" - well Duh! sounds like a pretty good reason to transfer ...... or stop playing the game.

I ain't trolling like you do, with all your Disinformation. Why Leave the 32 Bit Servers...? What kind of ignorant question is that, when you answer it yourself, hmm? SSG will remove all 32 Bit servers, so... What's your answer?

So they pay MORE, for updated 64 Bit servers instead.

64-bit Servers for LOTRO are the SOFTWARE side of the game for what is getting upgraded.

If it's a "Contract" for how they are paying for the New Jersey, USA datacenter than 2025 is likely "paid for".

There is the "2 New Datacenters", one being already used in Amsterdam in the Netherlands for Mordor, so nobody knows the cost. The stuff going on with the 2 Datacenter Locations being used is also more to do with Daybreak, SSG's Publisher.
Never had problems with steam version

Anyone think the STEAM Version will work Better, or Worse? After 17 years playing, I find the Steam Version has a lot of bugs and issues with LOTRO and SSG. :steamsalty::steamsad::steamfacepalm:
I’m not wasting my points to give you a jester so here 🤡

Because after 17 years gaming, I found that LOTRO LP per Character, vanish when you delete the character. ANY PLAYER that has done that, knows it is a FACT!

From your link.
KNOWN ISSUES WITH EXISTING INSTALLERS
There are currently two official installers for LotRO. The stand-alone installer provided by SSG and the Steam-powered installer. . .

SSG (stand-alone) Installer

No known issues! SSG appears to have fixed it! Thank you SSG!

Steam Installer

Does not install any Visual C++ runtime prerequisites and cannot complete game installation (silently crashes to desktop) if they are not already present.
Does not install any DirectX runtimes and the game fails to launch once installation is complete (silently crashes to desktop).

Provided below is the full, detailed procedure for installing all of LotRO's prerequisites, installing LotRO, and cleaning up afterwards, so that your new installation of LotRO goes smoothly. While no longer necessary when using the SSG-provided stand-alone LotRO installer, the guide below (both video and written) will fix a broken Steam install or, better yet, prevent a Steam install from going awry in the first place, if followed preemptively.
Correct.
And now, read the comment that I posted that link as a reply to.
