fellowship quests?
I'm about level 35 now and my quest log is getting full of "fellowship quests" and "small fellowship quests". I'm really only interested in playing solo for now so my instinct is to just abandon them and move on so I can get to the story missions and other activities.

Is that what people in this game typically do? Can I safely cancel these quests if I have no interest in grouping at the moment?

You can. They're all optional and you can come back a few levels later and be able to solo them then.

If they are the fellowship quests in the Epic Quest line they added a solo option to those a long time ago. When you talk to the quest giver you get offered the choice of running it with a group or solo. If you pick solo you get a buff so you can.

There's very little group mandatory content in the game now outside of group instances and raids.

Fellowship quests, I find, are rarely actually difficult enough to require one. Even under leveled you could probably get by one easily.

they are mostly useless waste of time you can do half of them solo because It gives inspration/boost

Keep in mind some of the epic quests will be difficult and you will Benefit from help from a higher level player ( not many are like this but there is a couple).

Also if you do things alone meant for a group you get a buff which allows you to finish solo.
